Annette Czech

Ms. Czech has over 30 years’ experience in the human resources field with an expertise in designing, developing and implementing compensation and performance management programs.  She is a founding partner at Kopp Company, responsible for providing all human resources consulting services to clients nation-wide.

 

Most recently her expertise has been centered in the non-profit world where she has provided human resources consultation regarding recruitment and compensation programs, and job family design and development to several Midwest area non-profit organizations and higher educational institutions.  Highlights of her work have included partnering with a Big Ten University to review and organize the jobs of their 5000+ staff employees.  She led and managed the cross-university Job Family Project which created and implemented 15 job families – all still in use today.  Additionally she has conducted independent reviews of the President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Vice President position pay ranges that met the research requirement for the IRS’s “Rebuttable Presumption” standard for defending compensation decisions; and partnered with organizations to create performance management systems that align strategic goals with employee performance measures; developed merit and bonus programs based on employees’ performance in regard to attainment of strategic goals; and created and presented associated manuals and training programs to employees and managers. 

 

Prior to these aforementioned projects, Ms. Czech was associated with a Fortune 50 manufacturing organization where she provided consultation in the areas of job analysis and evaluation, and compensation design and implementation.  Additionally she coordinated the evaluation of the existing HRIS to determine enhancements/changes/upgrades necessary to meet user needs.  The project included an analysis of the current system, training of all users in the current system, and the development of long term strategic plans. 

 

Her career in human resources began with her affiliation with a large international accounting firm, where she performed compensation work in the Human Resources Consulting Division of the organization. 

 

Ms. Czech completed her undergraduate schooling at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois.  She has presented Job Family Design & Development at the College & University Professional Association (CUPA-HR) national conferences and the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) regional conferences.  She has taught job analysis, job evaluation methods and compensation system design and implementation at the University of Illinois; and HRIS design, development and implementation at the General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan.  She is author of Modernizing Your Personnel Management System.

Gregory Kopp

Mr. Kopp has over 30 years experience in leading the implementation of financial business performance management systems and processes for Fortune 500 clients.  He is a founding partner at Kopp Company, responsible for providing all financial and management consulting services designed to maximize business performance to clients nation-wide; and a Talent Ambassador for The Walt Disney Company. 
 

Client projects have included consulting in regard to the implementation of the IBM Cognos 8.3 Planning and Forecast module for a primary business segment ($6B in annual revenues) for a diversified International Family Entertainment and Media Enterprise.  Mr. Kopp managed the business segment ($800M+ annual operating plans) planning and forecasting process re-design and implementation; facilitated planning process design meetings, aligning project team and site representatives and ensured adherence to project and scope guiding principles, and business segment global planning and forecasting requirements.  The project resulted in clearly defined processes providing better data integrity; reduction in time spent gathering data and improved efficiencies due to planning process automation.

 

He also designed, developed and conducted QA and end to end testing for the IBM Cognos 8.4 Reporting Initiative of the PeopleSoft 9.0 ERP Global Finance Platform rollout for a premier Global Human Capital Solutions Firm in preparation for the merger with a Fortune 300 diversified financial services firm (combined entity annual revenue - $4.3B; 29,000 employees). The IBM Cognos 8.4.1 Reporting Initiative included developing P&L financial management reports, A/R and billing operational reporting, expense report analysis, project revenue and time tracking reporting; analysis of proposed Cognos 8.4 reporting system design and development; QA and end to end performance testing design; reviews of client project deliverables and other project management activities specific to QA and end to end testing for the client and client’s partner (a global management consulting company).  Benefits of the rollout included an accelerated month-end close by 2 workdays, reduction of billing write offs by 50%, increased time entry compliance to 100%, development of financial balance sheets to more effectively measure ROIC, and an efficient cash flow process.

 

Additional Client Projects included the development and implementation of Hyperion Enterprises's consolidation and reporting appliction for the nation's second largest real estate investment trust; a subsidiary of a Fortune 100 global leader in interior experience, building efficiency and power solutions; a euro Fortune 50 subsidiary of one of the world's largest electrical engineering companies and a Fortune 500 subsidiary of a multi-national conglomerate.

 

His career in financial business performance management systems began with his affiliation with one of the nation’s largest bank-based financial services companies where he managed the review and evaluation of financial policies and procedures to assist in the integration of 2 Fortune 500 financial organizations’ technology operations divisions. 

 

Mr. Kopp completed his undergraduate schooling at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  He continued his post baccalaureate education with Stanford University's Center for Professional Development Best-in-Class Decision Practice Series and Advanced Project Management Webinar Series and Professional Development Continuing Education.
